Over the last year ISC has performed equipment upgrades adding new servers, routers, standby backup power generator and added high speed internet connection data lines.
We at ISC wish to thank you for your understanding during the effort to enhance our equipment for the benefit of our customers.
Power outages can be a real problem for all of us but it is critical to keep power to our servers. All of our servers, routers and switches are powered by power from a bank of UPS (uninterruptible power supply) systems, which run on batteries when the municipal power fails. When we have power outages for short durations our uninterruptible power supply systems work extremely well, but if the outage lasts too long ( 1-2 hours) we lose all power and the servers, routers and switches shut down. To keep our servers up and running ISC has taken a proactive position by selecting, purchasing and installing a Generac automatic backup power generator, providing reliable emergency standby electricity for our clients. An automatic transfer switch senses the lose of municipal power and automatically starts the backup generator while our uninterruptible power supply systems keep all of our equipment running until (about 30 seconds) the generator is up to full power. |
